Termite Pest Control

All In One offers full service termite control including termite inspection, local treatment, fumigation, and repair.

Exterminating Termites

Termite control services are necessary as there are over 40 different species of termites that exist in the United States which cause anywhere from 1 - 5 billion dollars in damage annually. The average cost of a termite infestation can cause damages that exceed $8,000 for an individual if not properly identified and treated in time. Most of the termite damage goes unnoticed until a termite colony is fully mature, and indicators of an infestation are much more visible.

The different types of termites that can cause damages can attack in different way depending on the type of termite. Drywood termites can swarm and attack areas of the home that are devoid of moisture while dampwood termites can be found in areas that are close to leaks. In addition, Subterranean termites can infiltrate your home from under the surface and build mudtubes to most parts of a home. This combined means that no home, including newly built structures are safe from termite damages.

Termite Treatments

Termidore Liquid Termite Treatment

This solution is used for interior and exterior application and provides a chemical barrier that prevents termites from entering your home or business. This termiticide is safe for pest and children but is potent enough to kill termites and protect your home from future infestations.

Termite Bait Treatment

These bait stations are left in areas that are the most prone to termite invasion. Sentricon provides continual protection without the need for more invasive methods like full fumigation. This termiticide will often be carried back to colonies to spread the poison to the remaining termites destroying a colony from the inside out.

Fumigation

For the worst infestations, fumigation is a highly recommended option for treating termites designed to permeate the walls, subfloors, and attics of a home to ensure that any existing termites are eradicated completely.

Termite FAQs

  • How do you kill termites?

There are 2 main chemicals used to treat termites – Fipronil and hexaflumuron. Fipronil is used as an active ingredient in many liquid termiticides and is found in commonly used spray applicated termiticides like termidore. In high enough concentrations it can kill termites on contact. Hexaflumuron is a termiticide commonly found in termite bait. Termites will often find the poison and carry it back to the colony which causes widespread infection before killing off the rest of the nest.

  • How much is pest control for termites?

Termite control services range depending on the extent of an infestation, type of treatment used, and size of home. That said, All in One’s pricing is incredibly competitive and generally falls in the range of $218 - $875 for local treatment but can go upwards of $2500 for full home fumigation. This is aligned with the national average of $550 for a treatment and falls in the typical range between $220 -$950.

  • What is the best method to treat termites?

The best method for treating termites also depends on the severity of the infestation. The best treatment is preventative which can be applied via a topsoil barrier treatment applied to the exterior of your home. However, once an infestation has taken hold, it is important for a licensed technician to evaluate and determine the best strategy for termite extermination.

  • Can I spray for termites myself?

Preventative do it yourself termite control can be taken by homeowners, but it is important to know the proper use of termiticides to ensure that toxicity levels are safe for pets and children. This is why we recommend having a licensed termite technician treat homes for termites. In addition, thorough termite extermination can be difficult once a termite colony has been established.

  • How does pest control get rid of termites?

Generally a termite exterminator will treat the exterior of a home with a termiticide control agent which kills termites on contact. This is particularly effective at controlling subterranean termite from ever reaching your structure.

  • Can you see termites?

Termites are visible to the naked eye. Swarmers, or winged termites are even bigger and can be easily spotted outside of a home or business.

  • Are termites dangerous?

Unlike some other household pests, termites are generally not dangerous to humans or pets but have been known to sting on rare occasions. The bigger concern is allergies or respiratory problems caused by reactions to frass or termite induced mold.

  • Are termites hard to get rid of?

Once termites have colonized an area, they can be hard to get rid of. Homeowners will often try DIY methods of pest control but unless all termites including the queen have been eliminated, there is a strong possibility of reinfestation.

  • How serious are termites?

Termites can cause billions of dollars of structural damage a year. Termites will often move from  dead wood like tree stumps on the outside of your home or business before moving into a structure but they can also injure living trees and shrubs prompting a need for landscaping services to clear out any detritus that they may feed on.
